Usha : A very good list, I can relate to some of them. I had a new sharpner and I sharpened my pencil until nothing was left of it. Nice stroll down memory lane.

kamalji nice memories! Thank You! sharpening pencils seem to be a hot favourite! and ice gola..we didn't have the concept of pocket money in our house, so i never bought anything myself.. so no street food.. but my parents would buy me whatever i asked for, from shops

Ushaji,

Wonderful memories. Here are a few of mine

!) Sharpening pencils - I never knew when to stop, when the point would break, and again sharpening it, till the pencil became less. Then i started to use dad's shavign blades, and the results were better, but with many cuts in the hands.

2)Mom used to give us 2 chappatis and soem fried popatoes in the aluminium Tiffins, and recess time, the potatoes used to smell, but still loved them.I still remember the smell, such lovely it used to taste.

3) Having a ice Gola from the pavement fellow outside school. After we sucked the sharbat, i would  request teh golawala to put another colour sharbat, and he would oblige. That was heaven Ushaji.

Brought back all the lovely memories of those days gone by.Thanks.kamal
